Whole smoked kippers are prepared by splitting fresh herring, curing them with salt, and then smoking them over hardwood, such as oak or beech. The smoking process imparts a distinctive smoky aroma and taste.

Storage

We recommend fresh fish to be consumed straight away, or within 3 days. Store in your refrigerator and pack with ice if possible. To freeze: place the fish straight in the freezer upon delivery and consume within 3 months.

Availability

Due to product availability and market conditions we may send Frozen Fish. This product may be dispatched frozen and begin to Thaw in transit, although all our orders are packed properly we can not guarantee items will be fully frozen upon delivery. Therefore might not be suitable for home freezing.
